Les Fées means the fairies in French.
When I think of les fées, I see the fairy godmothers of the stories I grew up with: grown women, powerful and magical, belonging somewhere between the human world and a hidden realm. They have always represented something more mysterious to me. A connection with nature, light, colour and the unseen. A world that we may not be able to explain, but that we can somehow feel. And that is the world from which Les Fées emerged.
The elemental queen
At the centre of the collection is the vision of an elemental queen. She belongs to nature, but she is not defined by it. She is grounded and powerful. She moves between the visible and invisible worlds. Her wings are part of her power — and they became the starting point for the jewellery itself.
As I developed the collection, their intricate forms began to transform into rings, earrings, a bracelet and a necklace. Sometimes the wings are bold and sculptural. Sometimes they are delicate, almost as though they have been caught in movement. But each piece carries something of that original being within it.
Her wings weren’t decoration. They became the collection.
Giving form to something unseen
There is something I love about taking an idea that exists only in the imagination and slowly giving it physical form. Les Fées began as a feeling, an image and a world. Over time, the wings of the elemental queen began to take shape as six pieces of jewellery.
That is one of the reasons jewellery has always fascinated me. Gold and gemstones come from the earth, yet in our hands they can become something else entirely. We wear them against our bodies. We live with them. They can carry stories, memories and meaning — and sometimes make us feel something we can’t quite explain.

I experience something both healing and activating in Les Fées. There is a sense of light, movement and energy that feels alive to me. Perhaps that is part of their magic: the way they can connect us with something within ourselves that we may not yet have words for.
A world of light, colour and nature
When the time came to photograph the collection, I knew I didn’t simply want photographs of six pieces of jewellery. I wanted to see their world.
That world begins in nature and grounding. It moves into colour and rainbow light. And eventually, it enters the night — not as darkness to be feared, but as another expression of the same magic. Flowers, coloured light, movement and the body became part of the visual language of the campaign. And something extraordinary happened as those elements came together.
I could see the world I had imagined. The jewellery hadn’t changed. But placed within that world, I could see more clearly what had always been inside it.
Why Les Fées?
This is ultimately why I was drawn to les fées in the first place. They inhabit the space between what we can see and what we can sense.
We live in a world that asks us to explain so much. To define things. To know why. And yet some of the most powerful experiences in our lives don’t always arrive that way.
We feel drawn to a person before we understand why. A place can make us feel different the moment we enter it. A gemstone can catch our attention amongst hundreds of others. An idea can arrive before we know what we’re going to do with it.
There is still mystery in the world. And I don’t think we need to explain all of it away.
Sometimes wonder begins when we allow ourselves to experience something before we understand it.
That, to me, is where Les Fées live. Somewhere between nature and imagination. Between the visible and the unseen. Between what we know and what we feel. And now, after living in my imagination for so long, they have entered the physical world too.
Enter the world of Les Fées.
