I believe that our beautiful planet is a sentient being and has a consciousness that has much wisdom to bring us. Earth is a symbol of infinite abundance. One element that has been consistently responding to our thoughts is the energy of water.
Is it any surprise when our human bodies are made of up to 75% water? We first experience water when floating in the dark and safe womb of our mothers. We are a body of water, and when we are truly aligned with the flow of the rivers, oceans, seas and lakes, we are honouring this life-giving element.
The Intelligence of Water
I recently came across the work of Veda Austin, a New Zealand-based water researcher and artist, who has dedicated the last 10 years observing and photographing the life and intelligence of water.
Her primary area of focus is to photograph water in its ‘state of creation’, the space between liquid and ice. It is through her remarkable crystallographic photos, that water reveals its awareness of thought and intention through imagery. She communicates to water, either through her dreams or actual photographic influence, and studies the response of water to these stimuli. And the creations that water produces are nothing short of breathtaking.
Veda Austin’s research was built on Dr Masaru Emoto’s photographic work which studied the impact of human consciousness on the molecular structure of water.
Dr Emoto believed that water was a ‘blueprint for our reality’ and that emotional vibrations could change its physical structure. His water crystal experiments consisted of exposing water in glasses to various words, pictures, or music, then freezing it and examining the ice crystals’ aesthetic properties with microscopic photography.
He discovered that water exposed to positive speech and thoughts created visually “pleasing” ice crystals, whilst negative intentions yielded “ugly” ice formations.
This work with water illustrates that all living beings on our planet are energy, and as such, have a consciousness that, if acknowledged and recognised as such, can change the way we interact with nature.
Water inspires me to live my life in harmony with nature. Water teaches us to flow and not hold on too tightly to the reins of control. It is both a fluid and incredibly powerful element, demonstrating that flexibility is key to fully receiving the abundance that is our given right.
Being able to let go, and release our expectations of particular outcomes, strengthens our ability to welcome change, stay on course when following our soul’s purpose, and not restrict the flow of abundance that wants to find us.
I will leave you with Veda Austin’s wise words: ‘If we think water can feel, we will care for it. If we think it is intelligent, we will learn from it.’ When we chose to see ourselves as separate from nature, we forsook her wisdom.
But I sense that this will soon change and that we will find our way back to her.
