I have now lived for almost two thirds of my life out of France. And I keep discovering amazing facts about the country of my birth. Facts that were never mentioned or discussed when I was growing up.
Like the fact that France has been for millennia a sacred land for so many spiritual communities. Or that blue sapphire was the stone representing French royalty, used to both embody divinity as well as ward off envy and jealousy.
This might explain why France, until recently, did not have a tradition of using diamonds for engagement rings, choosing instead coloured gemstones, with blue sapphires being the firm favourite.
The French style, that many women around the world have adopted, is wearing simple and classic pieces, kept relevant year after year, in mainly neutral or understated colours. So imagine my surprise when I discovered that Sapphires came also in Black, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, White and Yellow.
This shed a new light on this gem, as I have never been a ‘blue’ girl. The pink and yellow sapphires stole my heart. I just couldn’t resist them, acquiring two pink sapphire and diamond bands (and matching earrings) as well as a yellow sapphire and diamond wide ring. I was in heaven.
A World full of Blessings
As I embarked on my spiritual journey over ten years later, I began to sense the energy of gems. And to see beyond the standard attributes given to gems according to their colour and family. I saw how every single stone had a unique voice that deserved to be heard.
Sapphires radiate the energy of a world full of blessings. A world where you know that love, when it is given freely, will come back to you a thousand-fold.
A world where you have healed your wounds and feel comfortable in your own skin. A world where you can be the change you want to see in the world.
Finding Inner Peace
Sapphires are here to support your journey to inner peace. Finding inner peace can activate passions hitherto dormant. When you nurture and honour your passion, you can follow your most creative and authentic path. When you are at peace with yourself, you can allow all that you are passionate about to be truly seen.
My encounter with two of the lesser known sapphires paved the way for me to become an intuitive designer. Designing with conscious, positive intentions which are infused in every single piece I create.
Green sapphires are so full of serenity, They allow you to feel and acknowledge your emotions, to thank them and then to let them go. What a gift!
The second special sapphire I encountered is the Padparadscha sapphire. A beautiful and unique sapphire that blends pink and orange hues in soft tones. This rarely seen sapphire symbolises the inner peace and tranquillity of a life full of joy and confidence.
So allow sapphires to walk with you on your chosen path. A path where a boldness of spirit and a willingness to trust the unknown will bring you a more authentic life.
