In my previous blog, ‘The call of a Gemstone’, I explored how I perceive gems and metals as energetic beings, here to deliver specific messages, guide us, and bring wisdom to our souls. Today, I’m delving into a deeper question: Could crystals and gems actually be sentient? What if these stones could not only produce energy—like sapphire crystals powering watches—but also feel emotions and communicate?
Throughout history, many people have felt the energy of gems and crystals. They’ve used them to heal physical and emotional ailments, gain clarity on specific questions, or even attract love. The Ancient Egyptians didn’t view jewellery merely as adornment. For them, it was a tool for feeling good, safe, and connected to divine protection. In a world full of chaotic forces, gems and jewellery offered a sense of security.
The Untapped Energy of Gems
Imagine using crystals not just for healing, but to power an entire city or even store and disseminate information. According to ancient legends, the civilisation of Lemuria is said to have achieved this. Crystals were activated, organised into clusters, and used as natural computers to create a vast knowledge and information network—one that could be accessed by all through telepathy.
And why not? Numerous ancient texts describe how humans once had such a deep alignment with nature that they could communicate telepathically, not only with each other, but also with trees and animals. Why not minerals? We now recognise animals as sentient beings, and we’re learning about the complex ways trees communicate with each other. So why shouldn’t we be able to communicate with crystals, especially since they carry nature’s innate wisdom after being born deep within the Earth?
If someone had told our ancestors that we would one day talk to remote objects—objects that could play music, close blinds, and even make calls—they would have refused to believe it. The difference between our modern technology and working with crystals, however, lies in the nature of the relationship. Working with crystals can be seen as a co-creation between two equal partners—a connection in which the crystal is respected as a sentient being in its own right.
The Energetic Web of Nature
Crystals have so much to teach us about what they have experienced growing deep within the core of our planet. Just as trees have been shown to communicate with one another through underground networks, and animals exhibit deep emotional intelligence, crystals may be another aspect of nature’s vast web of life—an intricate system that we are just beginning to understand. What if, by tuning into this energetic web, we could open ourselves to the wisdom that every part of nature has to offer?
To experience the energy of crystals yourself, I invite you to try this simple exercise. Find a quiet space where you can sit comfortably. Hold a crystal in your hands. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and allow yourself to focus on the sensations that arise. Do you feel warmth, tingling, or perhaps a shift in energy? Allow your intuition to guide you in this experience. Open yourself to the message that the crystal may be sending. Sometimes crystals will communicate with us through subtle sensations and energies that speak directly to our hearts.
Sharing your experiences with crystals not only enriches your own journey but also contributes to a collective exploration of the mysteries that these ancient stones hold. I look forward to hearing your stories and insights—whether you’ve felt a connection to a crystal or discovered something unexpected along the way!
